GTA 6 Weapons Confirmed So Far: Full List by Category
Every GTA 6 weapon seen or named so far: handguns, SMGs, rifles, shotguns, launchers, melee and throwables, plus what's confirmed vs rumored before Nov 19.

GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026. Over 30 individual weapons have been spotted in official trailers, screenshots and promotional material. Rockstar has not published a full official weapon list, though. This page covers what has been shown or named, grouped by type, with the strength of the evidence flagged.
One caveat on reading the lists below: many entries are real-world models that fans identified from footage, and only some have in-game names. Where a fact rests on a single source, I say so.
The short version
- Handguns: the Nipper .38, Girardi ES9, Klose K17, Mustang .357, Morgan Revolver and an M1911 variant are the named ones.
- SMGs: MP5, Micro Uzi/Mini Uzi, MAC-11, Tec-9 and B&T-style SMGs have all been spotted.
- Rifles: M4/AR-15 carbines, AK-platform rifles, an M14, a Ruger 10/22-style rifle and bolt-action snipers appear.
- Shotguns: pump-actions plus over-under and side-by-side double-barrels appear in the trailers.
- Heavy and thrown: a rotary grenade launcher, grenades, Molotovs and sticky bombs are shown.
- Melee: baseball bat, claw hammer, pool cue, golf putter and fists.
Handguns
This is the category with the most in-game names. One source lists the pistols revealed so far as the Nipper .38, a Heavy Pistol/M1911 variant, a Polymer Frame Pistol, the Girardi ES9, the Klose K17, the Mustang .357 Revolver and the Morgan Revolver.
| Weapon | Based on | What we know |
|---|---|---|
| Nipper .38 | Bersa Firestorm 380 | Official identification from two origins; also seen in screenshots |
| Girardi ES9 | Beretta 92FS | Reported by three origins; seen in screenshots |
| Klose K17 | Glock 17 and SIG Sauer P320 | Reported by two origins; seen in screenshots |
| Mustang .357 | Colt Python | Single-source official identification |
| Morgan Revolver | Smith & Wesson revolvers | Single-source official identification; supports a scope attachment per the same single source |
| Heavy Pistol | M1911 platform | Reported by a single source |
| Shocker / Coil Shocker | Axon TASER models (TASER 7, TASER 10, X26/26P) | Reported by a single source |
The Klose K17 is described as a Glock-style handgun that takes a suppressor, extended mag and optic. Two origins also report a full-auto configuration for it. Separately, one source says a handgun with an auto sear switch on the slide sits on a desk next to Boobie Ike.
Handguns seen in trailer scenes
These are weapons identified in footage, some without a confirmed in-game name:
- A Beretta 92FS / M9 style handgun, carried and fired by Jason.
- A Glock-style semi-automatic wielded by Lucia.
- A Bersa Thunder .380 style compact pistol, which Lucia carries in her waistband.
- A custom 1911 branded 'CAPO', held by Raul inside a getaway vehicle.
- A .357 Python revolver held by a female character next to a bearded biker.
- A SIG Sauer P320-based handgun resting on a desk in Trailer 1, per a single source.
Pistols can reportedly take optical sights, though that comes from one source.
Submachine guns
Two origins confirm a standard MP5. A reported listing calls it the Heckler & Koch SMG, with a scope, suppressor and foregrip.
The rest of the SMG list comes from single sources:
- A Micro Uzi shows up in the Ammu-Nation TV commercial in Trailer 1. The in-game Micro SMG is reportedly based on the Mini Uzi.
- An Ingram MAC-11 based SMG.
- The DW9, based on the B&T APC9 K.
- An SMG based on the Steyr SPP or B&T MP9, plus a B&T MP9-based SMG on a display wall in Trailer 1.
- A Tec-9.
- A Micro Draco-style firearm with custom gold styling.
- Uzi, Skorpion-style and TEC-9 style SMGs on the racks at Phil's Ammu-Nation.
A machine-gun list from one source names the Combat MG, Compact SMG, Micro SMG and SMG.
Rifles and machine guns
Assault rifles and carbines
M4 carbine / AR-15 platform rifles are in the hands of Jason and Raul. AK-platform rifles sit on the gun store display walls. One source names the Duke 556 carbine, modeled on the Colt M4 LE6920. That same source type says the Carbine Rifle is the weapon spotted most often across trailer footage.
The in-game Assault Rifle is reportedly AK-pattern, with suppressor, extended mag, drum mag and custom finish options. A single source says Trailer 1 shows Remington R5 RGP, AK-47 and HK416 style rifles inside Ammu-Nation.
Semi-auto and battle rifles
- A Ruger 10/22-style semi-automatic rifle, backed by two origins.
- An M14 with an optic, held by a character on an airboat, backed by two origins.
- A rifle based on the Springfield Armory M1A, per one source.
Light machine guns
An M249 light machine gun is confirmed by three origins. A reported listing calls the in-game version the Combat MG and says it plays more like an LMG than an SMG.
Snipers and hunting rifles
A bolt-action sniper modeled on the Remington Model 700 appears. A reported listing names it the Bolt Action Sniper. Two hunters carry bolt-action hunting rifles in a wooded area, per one source.
A marksman rifle modeled on the L129A1 appears with camouflage in Trailer 1. A reported listing calls it the Assault Sniper and says it has a variable zoom scope.
Shotguns
The double-barrels have solid backing. An unnamed double-barrel resembling a long fowler appears, backed by two origins. A single source adds two Trailer 1 shotguns:
- An over-under resembling the Beretta 686.
- A side-by-side based on the Stoeger Coach Gun, pointed at an alligator from a boat.
One reported listing says the in-game Double-Barreled Shotgun has a wood finish and an engraved receiver option.
Pump-actions are where the sources disagree on the real-world model. One source says Trailer 1 shows pump-actions based on the Remington 870 and Benelli M3 on the Ammu-Nation wall. Another says the Pump Action Shotgun is inspired by the Mossberg 590, with extended tube, flashlight and stock upgrades. A rumor-level claim names a Moreland 850 modeled on the Remington 870 that holds six rounds. I wouldn't treat any of these model matches as settled. These are fan and creator identifications, not Rockstar statements.
Two more single-source details: a Benelli M4-style tactical shotgun hangs on the wall at Phil's Ammu-Nation, and the pump-action reportedly appears in robbery scenes throughout the trailers.
Launchers, explosives and throwables
A grenade launcher is featured. A rotary grenade launcher is fired by Lucia at pursuing police vehicles, per one source. Another single source ties a rotary launcher based on the Milkor MGL to an explosive action sequence in Trailer 1.
Two origins report two launchers: a Milkor MGL-style grenade launcher and an RPG-7-style rocket launcher. The MGL is backed by footage reports. The RPG-7 link is thinner. One source only says the RPG Rocket Launcher appears to be based on the RPG-7, which is speculation.
On throwables, two origins say grenades, Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs will be available. A longer reported list adds more: Flashbang, Golf Ball, Grenade, Molotov, Smoke Grenade, Speargun, Fire Bottle and Dog Poop. The two lists don't fully match. Sticky bombs are only in the first, and the flashbang, smoke grenade and Dog Poop entries are only in the second. The first has the stronger sourcing.
Melee weapons
- Baseball bat: shown in GTA 6, backed by four origins.
- Claw hammer: held by a woman in a social media clip.
- Pool cue: featured in GTA 6.
- Mini-golf putter: carried by an NPC named Cal.
- Fists: shown when Jason strikes a shopkeeper, per one source.
A fuller reported list names Baseball Bat, Crowbar, Golf Club, Hammer, Hunting Knife, Knife, Pool Cue, Pipe Wrench, Switchblade and unarmed attacks.
Equipment and tools
One reported source says GTA 6 has a dedicated equipment category with body armor, trauma kit, painkillers, lock pick and zipties. The same type of listing adds vehicle-theft tools: Immobilizer Bypass, Slim Jim and Tracker Jammer. Rockstar has confirmed separate weapon and tactical tool categories, per one source.
How weapons work
Carrying limits and loadouts
Two origins report a revamped combat system that limits how many weapons you can carry. One source says Rockstar confirmed a satchel-style inventory with a carry cap. The same source says Rockstar confirmed vehicle trunk storage for extra firearms, so you can swap loadouts between missions. A separate reported claim says GTA 6 takes inspiration from Red Dead Redemption 2's inventory approach.
Weapon wheel
Rockstar has confirmed a redesigned weapon wheel, per one source. Another reported source says there are separate wheels for combat weapons and for equipment/gear.
Customization
Weapons can be customized with attachments, finishes and optics. One reported source adds skins and specialized ammunition.
Gunhandling and the world's reaction
- Improved reload animations and more realistic gunhandling, per a single source.
- You can fire weapons from vehicles as driver or passenger.
- NPCs react dynamically when you draw a weapon in public.
Underwater combat
One source says underwater combat with specific weapons, including the Speargun, is confirmed. Another reported claim says players can fire weapons underwater. This is a continuation of an older rumor: a speargun was mentioned for underwater use in the 2022 leaks.
Ultimate Edition weapons
One reported source says the Morgan Revolver, Girardi ES9 and Klose K17 are locked behind the Ultimate Edition. The same source family says the Ultimate Edition costs $100. Other reported details:
- The Hawk and Little Morgan Revolver is an Ultimate Edition exclusive bonus weapon.
- The Girardi ES9 has a Jason personalized variant for Ultimate Edition pre-orders.
- The Klose K17 has a Lucia personalized variant for Ultimate Edition pre-orders.
- The Micro SMG has a Tommy Vercetti signature skin for players who pre-order.
These claims are single-source and slightly inconsistent. It isn't clear whether the base guns or only the personalized variants are exclusive. Check Rockstar's own store page before you spend money on this.
Confirmed vs. rumored
Backed by official material from multiple origins:
- Baseball bat, M4/AR-15 carbines, AK-platform rifles, MP5, Remington 700-style sniper and M249.
- The Nipper .38 as a Bersa Firestorm 380-based pistol.
- Grenades, Molotovs and sticky bombs.
Reported, but not yet confirmed by Rockstar:
- The Girardi ES9 and Klose K17.
- The Klose K17's full-auto capability.
- The two-launcher list.
- The longer throwable and melee lists.
- The Ultimate Edition weapon details.
Rumor, mostly from the 2022 leaks:
- Flashbangs and smoke grenades.
- A taser.
- A wrench as a melee weapon.
- A squad-car chase with a grenade launcher.
- Weapon drop and pickup mechanics.
- Open carry alerting NPCs.
- The Girardi ES9 holding 15 to 20 rounds.
- An MP5K-style SMG.
- The Coil Shocker in August 2026 leaks.
Much of the leak material comes from the September 2022 Rockstar hack. It included over 90 developer build videos that may have changed since recording.
Speculation, treat as opinion:
- Trailer hints suggest Jason may favor rifles and shotguns while Lucia leans on pistols and SMGs.
- The Tracker Jammer may be essential for high-wanted-level escapes.
How the weapon count compares to GTA 5
The sources disagree here, so I wouldn't lean on the comparison. One says GTA 5 included over 100 weapons. Another says it launched with 30 and passed 70 through DLC. Fans have counted more than 30 weapons in GTA 6 media so far, and that count comes from trailers, screenshots and the Extended Look. Treat that figure as a floor, not a final total.
