GTA 6 Price, Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses: Full Breakdown
GTA 6 costs $79.99 (Standard) or $99.99 (Ultimate). Here's everything in each edition, the Vintage Vice City pre-order pack, GTA+ month and the $20 upgrade.

GTA 6 price at a glance
Grand Theft Auto VI costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99. If you buy Standard and change your mind later, you can upgrade to Ultimate at any time for a $20 add-on.
The game launches November 19. Digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12. That leaves three weeks to pre-order and secure the bonus pack.
| Standard Edition | Ultimate Edition | |
|---|---|---|
| Price (US) | $79.99 | $99.99 |
| Full story campaign | Yes | Yes |
| Vintage Vice City Pack (pre-order bonus) | Yes, if bought before launch | Yes, if bought before launch |
| Exclusive vehicles, weapons, apparel and missions | No | Yes |
| Five exclusive shops | No | Yes |
| Early access | No | No |
The US price is the same on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. According to one report, those two consoles are the only launch platforms.
Only two editions: no deluxe tier, no collector's edition
One report states that Rockstar has confirmed two launch editions. The same coverage adds that there is no middle tier, deluxe bundle or early-access perk. Several outlets report flatly that there is no collector's edition. Rockstar also hasn't suggested one will arrive later.
Neither edition lets you play before November 19, according to coverage of the edition details. Everyone starts on launch day.
Why $80 matters
The Standard price is $10 above the $69.99 that most current-generation AAA games have charged. One outlet notes that GTA VI is only the second game to cost $80, after Mario Kart World. Before Rockstar revealed the pricing, some people speculated the game could cost $100. In the end, $100 is the Ultimate Edition price rather than the base price.
Regional prices and retailers
Rockstar's official prices are listed in US dollars. The regional figures below come from retailer listings reported by single outlets, so check the store before you buy:
- Australia: EB Games is taking Standard pre-orders at A$129.95 with a A$10 deposit. JB Hi-Fi lists the Standard Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X at A$129.00. Amazon AU offers physical pre-orders with home delivery.
- UK: You can pre-order through the PlayStation and Xbox stores, Amazon and Game, according to one report.
One source also reports that pre-orders are available worldwide.
Pre-order bonuses

Every pre-order placed before launch includes the Vintage Vice City Pack. That applies to the Standard Edition too. Pre-ordering also gives you one free month of GTA+.
Vintage Vice City Pack contents
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Car | 1955 Vapid Stanier sedan |
| Outfits and hair | 1980s-inspired outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia |
| Weapon skin | Tropical pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti's Hawaiian shirt |
| Garage | Shore Court personal garage near Ocean Beach |
Rockstar's description of Shore Court, carried by one source, mentions a weapon locker and a secure fence spot for selling stolen goods. Fences, where you deposit stolen goods, are a confirmed GTA VI mechanic. One report claims every garage in Leonida has a weapon locker and a stolen-goods drop. If that holds, Shore Court's appeal is mainly its location rather than unique features.
The free GTA+ month: read the fine print
The GTA+ membership renews monthly at the regular price after the free month unless you cancel it. Its listed perks all apply to GTA Online: a monthly GTA$500,000 deposit, a 15% bonus on Shark Cards and discounted vehicles. GTA VI itself launches as a single-player experience.
Our take: The free month is only useful if you still play GTA Online. Otherwise, set a reminder to cancel it.
Everything in the Ultimate Edition

The Ultimate Edition contains the base game plus exclusive vehicles, weapons, apparel and missions. Rockstar says this content unlocks gradually as you progress through the story rather than all at once. One report says the missions, progression and mechanics are otherwise identical to the Standard Edition.
Vehicles
- 1995 Grotti Cheetah sports car
- '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, stored at Paradise Garage in Watson Bay
- Shitzu Squalo boat, docked at Washington Beach
- Dinka Enduro motorcycle and Crest kayak at Jason's safehouse
- Retro mod kit for the Vapid Ganado, Jason's personal vehicle
One report places the Enduro, kayak and Ganado at Jason's oceanfront stilt house. One outlet also lists Paradise Garage itself as part of the Ultimate package.
Weapons
- Hawk and Little Morgan custom scoped revolvers
- Custom variants of the Girardi ES9 and Klose K17 handguns
Exclusive shops
The Ultimate Edition gives exclusive access to five stores:
| Shop | What it does |
|---|---|
| Rideout Customs | Vehicle mod shop |
| One-Eyed Willy's | Off-road mod shop in Lake Leonida |
| Sara's Unisex Salon | Hairstyles, facial hair and nails |
| Stock 305 | Streetwear clothing store, per one report |
| Electric Fang Tattoo | Tattoo parlour |
Rockstar's materials spell the off-road shop both "One-Eyed Willy's" and "One-Eyed Willie's". According to one report, all five are single-player locations, not GTA Online content.
Missions and side content
- Raid on the PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store gang compound
- Wyman's World Auto Salvage yard for restoring classic vehicles
One report describes the Wyman content as a mission line in which you restore classic cars for an eccentric collector. The Standard Edition therefore misses several shops and one exclusive mission.
Apparel
- Vice City Style pack with exclusive outfits and tattoos for Jason and Lucia
- Good Time Gear clothing capsule
Rockstar uses both "Good Time Gear" and "Goodtime Gear" for the capsule. Sources disagree on its mascot. Three official sources say it features Macca the Gator, while a single report names a character called Meow the Dinos. The official, multi-source version is the stronger one, so expect Macca.
Physical copies have no disc
Physical retail copies contain a digital download code in the box instead of a disc. According to one report, a redeemed code is permanently tied to your platform account.
Our take: That severely limits a boxed copy's resale value. You will also download the whole game either way. Rockstar has confirmed pre-loading from November 12 only for digital pre-orders.
Platforms, PC and GTA Online
- Consoles: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game is officially PS5 Pro Enhanced and supports DualSense haptics, adaptive triggers and Remote Play.
- PC: One report says GTA VI won't launch on PC alongside the console versions. No PC release date has been confirmed, per the same type of coverage.
- Online: GTA VI launches strictly as a single-player experience. One report says pre-orders cover only the story mode, not GTA Online. So neither edition's extras carry over to an online mode at launch.
Which edition should you buy?
This section is our analysis, not a Rockstar claim.
The Ultimate extras are mostly cosmetics, vehicles, shop access and one mission. Both editions share the same story. Buying Standard costs you nothing permanent, because the $20 upgrade is available at any time. Ultimate costs $99.99, the same as Standard plus the upgrade.
Our advice:
- If you're unsure, buy Standard. You can upgrade once you've seen how much the exclusive shops and the PTT Youngin$ raid matter to you.
- If you know you want everything, buying Ultimate up front has no downside.
- Whichever you choose, pre-order before November 19 so the Vintage Vice City Pack is included.
Confirmed vs. reported
Confirmed by Rockstar:
- $79.99 Standard and $99.99 Ultimate
- $20 upgrade at any time
- Vintage Vice City Pack and one GTA+ month with pre-orders
- Ultimate content unlocks progressively through the story
- Physical copies contain a code, not a disc
- Launch on November 19, with digital pre-load on November 12
Reported, not officially stated:
- No collector's edition
- No early access in either edition
- No PC version at launch
- Redeemed codes are locked to your account
- Australian retail prices
