GTA 6 Real-Life Locations: Every Miami and Florida Landmark
Every real place behind GTA 6's Leonida: the Miami Beach hotels, Kaseya Center, E11EVEN, the Florida Keys, the Everglades, Clewiston and Panama City.

Grand Theft Auto VI is set in Leonida, Rockstar's take on Florida, split into six regions on the official site: Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga. Our Leonida map guide explains what each region is. This article goes one level deeper: the specific real buildings, bridges, clubs and towns that fans and outlets have matched to Rockstar's trailers and screenshots.
One thing to keep in mind: Rockstar never says "this is that building". Every match below comes from side-by-side comparisons, and Rockstar compresses and mixes real places freely. Think of these as inspirations, not copies.

Vice City: Miami, block by block
Vice City is modern-day Miami, and its downtown skyline and neon feel match the real thing closely. This is where most of the recognisable landmarks are.
Ocean Beach and the Art Deco strip
Ocean Beach is Rockstar's South Beach, with the pastel Art Deco hotels and palm-lined sand of Ocean Drive, packed into a tighter space. Some of the hotels on it are easy to spot:
- Cortez Hotel is based on the Colony Hotel, with the same streamlined Art Deco corners. Fans of the 2002 game will remember it as the "Colon Hotel".
- Ocean View Hotel matches the Clevelander on Miami Beach, down to the hotel signage.
- Lucia's apartment building mirrors the real Belmar condominium, a peach five-storey building with angled balconies. The real Belmar was demolished in 2022 and is now an empty lot, so GTA 6 keeps a piece of old Miami Beach alive.
The rooftop penthouse and pool from the first trailer has been matched to a penthouse atop Tresor Tower in Miami Beach. The bridge with toll booths that links the beach to the city looks like the Venetian Causeway.
Downtown Vice City
- Sahara Arena stands in for the Kaseya Center, home of the Miami Heat. In the game, the home team is the Vice City Narcos.
- Galina Ballet Opera House replaces the Adrienne Arsht Center.
- The Megamundo tower, home to a fictional media company, copies the dark glass and white base of One Biscayne Tower.
- The NINE 1 NINE club from the second trailer is a nod to E11EVEN, the Downtown Miami nightclub.
- One of the Ultimate Edition screenshots shows Vice City's version of the Miami Design District.
The working city
Vice City International Airport is modelled on Miami International, though the big "VICE" sign has no real equivalent. Port Vice City is a condensed PortMiami, cranes, containers and skyline view included. The Stockyards district mixes the industrial Allapattah area with the street murals of Wynwood.
Leonida Keys: the Florida Keys
The Leonida Keys follow the real Florida Keys: a long chain of islands strung out from the mainland. The long bridge seen in the trailers is inspired by the Seven Mile Bridge.
Look out for Rain Barrel Village, which matches the real roadside stop of the same name in the Keys. The giant lobster statue, Betsy, has been swapped for a whale.
Grassrivers: the Everglades
Grassrivers is Rockstar's Everglades. Even the name is a nod to the Everglades' nickname, the "River of Grass", and the trailers show the same flat sawgrass wetlands, mangroves and airboats.
Ambrosia: sugar country by Lake Okeechobee
Ambrosia is based on Clewiston and the sugar towns around Lake Okeechobee. The details are what sell it: Ambrosia's "Allied Crystal" refinery stands in for U.S. Sugar, and its slogan, "Keeping Leonida Sweet", echoes Clewiston's real nickname, "America's Sweetest Town".
Port Gellhorn: the Panhandle
Port Gellhorn looks like Panama City and Panama City Beach in the Florida Panhandle, with motels, pawn shops and dive bars. Its Port Gellhorn International Raceway appears to draw on the Sebring International Raceway.
Mount Kalaga: borrowed from Georgia
Florida is famously flat, so Rockstar looked north for Mount Kalaga National Park. Its canyons have been compared to Providence Canyon in Georgia, though the in-game park looks much bigger. Rockstar pitches it as a place for hunting, off-road trails, hiking and fishing.
More real-world details fans have spotted
- A tall broadcast mast in the trailers matches the WTVY-TV tower, one of the tallest structures in Florida.
- Leonida State Prison may be based on Florida State Prison.
Can you visit the real places?
Most of them, yes. Ocean Drive, the Colony and the Clevelander, the Kaseya Center, Wynwood's murals, the Seven Mile Bridge and the Everglades are all open to visitors. The Belmar is the exception, since it no longer exists. Once the game is out on November 19 we'll add side-by-side screenshots taken in-game, so you can compare them yourself.
